Issue
When multiple catalogs are used in a design and switch item is used, the selections in Styles & Pricing (including finishes) will be doubled.
This occurs when:
- The design contains items from 2 copies of a catalog e.g. Catalog A & Catalog B.
- The user goes to Switch Items and changes the items from one catalog i.e. Catalog B to the other catalog e.g. Catalog A.
- In addition to switching all the cabinets, add-ons, moulding etc. it will also switch the Styles & Pricing selections.
- This results in the catalog now have settings for 2 door styles, 2 finishes etc.
Note: This issue occurs in 2020 Design version 11.8.0 and earlier. It is corrected in version 11.8.1.
Solution
As a workaround, it is reccomended that the user do the following when switching items:
- Access the Catalog Styles tab and select Styles & Pricing.
- Select the catalog that you will be switching.
- Unselect all selections in Styles & Pricing.
- If using a Global Style Validation (GSV) catalog, clear the Selections and click Submit.
- Now that the Styles & Pricing selections have been removed you can click Switch Items.
If Switch Items was done before applying the steps in the workaround, it is recommended that the user do the following:
- Access the Catalog Styles tab and select Styles & Pricing.
- Select the catalog that you will be switching.
- Unselect all selections in Styles & Pricing.
- If using a Global Style Validation (GSV) catalog, clear the Selections and click Submit.
- Close the Styles & Pricing window.
- Re-open Styles & Pricing, you will notice that there are still selections for at least some of the features. These are the duplicates.
- Repeat Step 3 or Step 4 until all selections in Styles & Pricing are empty.
- Access Styles & Pricing and make new selections.
